If you do nothing else....you have succeeded...”A……” just announced she wants to go to COLLEGE!!  Unbelievable!!!! GOOOOOOOOOOOOO Core.  What a wonderful Christmas present!

Thanks a million
Pam

Hi Cindy,

J had his first evaluation with Dr. Draisin (after his 16th session) yesterday, (May 20).  Dr. Draisin was very pleased with his progress.  J's inconvergene (sp) has gone from 14" to 4"...meaning he can focus 4" from his face vs.14".  J's color perception and eye movements have improved.  Dr. will be giving us new home exercises and we are doubling up on the sessions.  (less than 60 days left in the area). Dr Draisin said we are almost there!  J's parent teacher conference was May 20, and Mrs. C was still talking about his handwriting and J inability to write small and to write down his thoughts on paper.  She is still pushing Dr. S.  From our point of view, J is a lot happier about school, his handwriting has really improved, and less time is spent doing homework!!  We owe it all to you and your crew for making J successful!  J will make the A/B honor roll again for the 4th time and he score above average on the Standardize Test.  I hope you have another summer workshop for the teachers and invite them to see what you  do...because some of the teachers are not getting it.  Teachers want to quickly diagnose kids as ADD/ADHD and medicate them.

Take Care.
S. P.

Hi Cindy

Hope all is well with you.    Jake and I agree that Core Possibilities is what's made the difference for Jacob.  He's back in school and so far, has had no problems.  I think he has a great teacher this year.  His reading is amazing!  I can't believe it.  Some books are actually too easy for him (like green eggs and ham).  I cannot thank you enough for your program and compassion.  Please know I'd love to help you any way I can.  Just let me know how I can help!  Take care!

Love, Marie

Just FYI -- so far, everything is going really well at school.  C has had  2 or 3 incidents when he has gotten a little upset, but has been able to remove himself (independently) from the situation, go to the couch in the room (his designated cool down area) & get it back together quickly w/o yelling, fighting, etc.  Although, I wish we could avoid these things all together, this is a HUGE improvement over last year!  His teacher describes these incidents as "minor" & says she can tell he is working hard to change his behavior & reactions.  His handwriting still needs lots of work, but he is not complaining about having to write (another improvement).  He was REALLY excited about getting back to astronaut class!  Thanks again for all of your school related suggestions -- they were very helpful & well received!  Many thanks to you & Mr. P for all of your hard work, enthusiasm & love shown to the kids!  We are looking forward to more positive developments as the year progresses!

Take care,
TK

I wanted to touch base and tell you what I’ve journaled so far. Jacob has been on the cd’s for 3 weeks. His sleep is 100% better He use to call me at night for whatever reason, but now, he sleeps straight thru every night. He goes to the bathroom more often. It use to be once a day, but now it’s more than that. I guess that’s a good thing? He said for the first time that reading is fun! This next one is strange, but its definitely a change. He’s been very affectionate, and respectful. He does chores without being asked, and tries hard to please me. He even runs out of the house to tell me goodbye when I leave and tells me to drive carefully! How that is related, I don’t know, but it’s a change and very sweet! His teacher still says that “he isn’t with her” alot of the time. So we aren’t done yet.

I emailed Jacob’s principal, Miss Bandy last night so you may hear from her, I hope so! I gave her your email. Also, did you get a chance to look at the Brain skills and can you use it in any way? I’m so excited that you found out what Jacob’s problem is! Thank you for all you do. Please let me know howl can help. If Jacob’s school wants to get on board, it’s it going to be too much for you?

I read the paper you sent last week. I’m interested in reading that book Guidelines for Therapeutic Listening Programs. Have a good night!

Marie

I’m so pumped I have to share this with you.

We met with Mark’s preschool teacher today and she said she wishes all of her kids were like Mark. She said this not only about his behavior but about his performance in class. She showed us a sample of his writing and we were equally impressed. He wrote on a blank piece of paper and his letters were very much in a straight line. The letters were tight and well

formed. The teacher also commented about how well he was doing with his lower case letters compared to everyone else in the class. We know this is a direct result of the work he is doing with you (and us as guided by you) so I want to say THANK YOU! I have completely switched from dreading kindergarten to giddy expectation! I know he will be in such a great place to start school.

P.S. Rachel and I are singing your praises at the preschool.  Several teachers appear curious about your work.

Just wanted to touch base and thank you for all your hard work. I told Jake just the other day that I walsh I had the money to set up a whole school for you. I wish Jacob could be with you all day! You’ve done amazing things with him! I really want to find a time that we can sit and talk again. My Weds are always good, but I think your schedule has changed? Anyway, I hate missing your Friday parents thing, but it’s a hard time for me to miss work.

I have a couple of questions for you. I’m trying hard to discourage video games. Am I right? Do they have any benefits? Jacob would love to have a game boy or playstation, but he doesn’t have one. There are a couple that he likes to play on the computer, but I use it as a reward. If there’s something good from it, I want to know. I so value your opinion. I’ve been thinking about you so much that I even had a dream about you last night. You were really sad, and I know I’m not psychic but just thought I’d ask if everything is alright?.

Thanks for all you do!

Marie

I just got back from a conference with Steven’s teacher and am pleased to report that he is doing very well. She has definitely noticed improvements in his handwriting, reading, spelling, journal writing and even his posture! Anyway, as I was telling her about the role that your Astronaut Training program has played in these improvements she got very interested. She is on a teacher committee that is currently in the process of evaluating and recommending new programs for Midway Elementary School next year. She would really like to speak with you and possibly get you to present to their committee.

Would you be able to give her a call? I have run out of your cards again, so I didn’t have your contact information handy. Her name is Wanda Edwards and she is a 3Fd grade teacher at Midway Elementary School. (She also has a background in special education.)

Thanks so much for all that you are doing with our children; it is truly making a difference!

Teacher Testimonials

I will have to say that before implementing CORE Fitness I believed that I would see results. However, I did not believe that I would see the results that I saw in only two months of using the DVD. It has been an amazing experience in which the students have grown physically and mentally. Theft increase in IQ and reading levels speak for themselves. The students were really passionate about the letters and addressed some of them to people in the DVD. I hope you enjoy what the students have to say. Thank you again for allowing me to use this as my Inquiry Project. I can’t wait to see the results after using this every day for a whole school year!

Sincerely,

Bridget Morris

Avian’s Journal Notes

10/20  Today Avian tied his shoe and was able to make the correct loops.

10/26   Homework is becoming less of a chore. He is completing some of the work independent of me. He is reading his decodable books more fluently and using picture as well as context clues to read some of the words.

11/8   Avian took his first Accelerated reading test on a book he read by himself and made 80%. He is becoming more excited about reading.
